One thing to consider is that some programs may be "teaching to pass standardized tests such as the NCLEX," something common in our educational system. My teacher wife refused to do it one year and her students beat all the others. Personally, I'm for throwing out GRE and all college entrance exams and just let people in and see how they do. In fact, revamp the entire system...
