Re: ASN RN to BSN online?

I am currently in the Umass Boston RN-to-BSN program. I chose online because I am good with computers and like the flexibility of doing the course work on my schedule. I can say from my experience the online classes at Umass are not difficult in content but are time consuming. Between the readings, online lectures and materials and doing the assignments (discussion questions, presentations, papers, etc) I am spending a lot of time getting through the course. I only looked at a couple programs before deciding on Umass. It definitely is not the cheapest option out there but because of my other degrees I only have to take 5 classes and because I live outside of Boston I like the idea that I am going to a local school.

If anyone has any questions about the UMass program - let me know.

Re: ASN RN to BSN online?

I too am hoping to start the FHCHS program in Jan. '08 for the RN-BSN program as well. It has been helpful to read all of the posts. I have a coworker who is currently enrolled in the program and has been extremely pleased with it. I am quite nervous as I have been out of school for close to fifteen years...

Re: ASN RN to BSN online?

Thank you Tweetie! Do you have any suggestions for the chemistry class? I was trying to look for a study guide that might help prepare for the class.

No. I went into Chemistry without preparation and made an A. It's fiarly elemetary chemistry, so don't sweat it. I just started from scratch. I know the "For Dummies" and "Made Easy" books are pretty good, but don't know if they have a Chemistry book or not.

Re: ASN RN to BSN online?

I'm in the Indiana Wesleyan University online ASN to BSN program. Love it and it's not too pricey.
