HI
I am a 43 yr old senior at a hospital based nursing school. I love computers and did attend a electronics school out of high school many moons ago. I recently heard about nursing informatics and I am looking for info. I live outside of Philly so I am not sure if there is a need for this in a more rural area or not. Do you have to get a BSN to apply for these types of jobs? What is the avg salaries?
Any info would be helpful
Thanks

Re: Senior RN student

Greetings adamsmom,
No you do not have a BSN to apply for a NI position but just like any other position requirements are dependent on the organization. Average salaries depend on past expience, education, geographical location, etc. Read previous posts on this site to get more informaiton. Good Luck!
