Selecting a healthcare information system

I have a case study to present in my informatics class. I am lost, and need some guidance. I am supposed to select a clinical documentation for nurses. I need to make a time line for the needs assessment and system selection phases over a six month period. I have to develop a list of "musts" and 'wants" and weight each item.
I can not find any literature to direct me for this project. I have no idea where to start. Please help!
