Congratulations to La Rabida Children's Hospital's I.S. Department! Due to their work, La Rabida was named one of "Health Care's Most Wired" hospitals, "Small and Rural", across the country by Hospitals & Health Networks magazine, the official journal of the American Hospital Association.

In past years there was only a top 100 Most Wired Hospitals list. This year a top 25 Small & Rural Hospitals list was added.

Hospitals are surveyed on their use of Internet technologies for safety and quality, customer service, disaster readiness, business processes and workforce issues.

According to survey results, more than 95 percent of the Most Wired have a nurse dedicated to IT training, compared with 41 percent of the least wired.
