eHealth Initiative Survey of Health Information Exchange

Another opportunity for you to participate:

Today, the eHealth Initiative (eHI) is launching its Fourth Annual
Survey of Health Information Exchange at the State, Regional and
Community Levels. Consider participating in this year's survey and
passing along the link to your colleagues involved in health information
exchange efforts across the country. Do remember that everyone has some
role at the local, state or national level.

The field related to health information exchange is rapidly evolving,
with efforts taking place at the national, state and local levels. This
survey is designed to capture those activities, and provide a
comprehensive picture of the current state of health information
exchange activities at the state, regional and local levels. Responses
will be rolled up into both a national summary and a set of regional
summaries highlighting the current state of health information exchange
in the United States. Individual detailed reports will also be offered
to state, regional and community leaders to help them benchmark their
progress against others.

Survey results will also be used to identify trends, inform policy, and
define the market factors, principles and strategies that will breed
success to support continued forward movement on the mobilization of
data electronically to improve the quality, safety and efficiency of
healthcare for all Americans.

State, regional and community leaders engaged in either planning,
coordinating or implementing activities designed to improve health and
healthcare through health IT and health information exchange are
encouraged to respond to the survey, which can be found at
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=654653841236. eHI is holding the
survey open for three weeks beginning Friday, May 15th. The deadline for
survey completion is June 15, 2007.

Please note that "surveymonkey" (the vehicle used to capture responses)
will be down between 9:00 p.m. EST Friday, May 25th and 3:00 p.m.
Saturday, May 26th.
