Do I have a shot at informatics?

I was a mechanic, a welder, a locksmith, a remodeler, an electrician, a stationary engineer, have an electronics degree, a facility manangement degree, a nursing degree. Is any of this any help in informatics? Seems like I'd be more suited to the hardware side, but do you guys have hardware specialists or ? I'm good with general pc work, but I'm not a programmer, and don't really want to be. Advice appreciated.

Re: Do I have a shot at informatics?

Sounds like you might enjoy networking/network admin or PC suport work. Use these titles to search for job in IT and IS. Be aware neither of these roles are considered "Informatics" postions. Either of these roles can be found in Health Care Information Systems/Healthcare IT or in any other industry(Banking, Manufacturing, etc) that also has an IT component.
Good Luck.
