Question BUDEPRION Side Effects

Is anyone familiar with where I can locate information on the side effects of Budeprion (generic for Welbutrin)? I've been taking Budeprion, previously taking name brand Welbutrin, and have been having pretty severe issues with dizziness (spinning actually), foggy head, difficulty sleep, extreme fatigue. I'm hoping the symptoms are side effects to the generic drug and I can switch back to the name brand.

Any information/feedback you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You!

Re: BUDEPRION Side Effects

Bupropion was kept off the market for awhile due to seizure potential. the maker then reapplied at lower doses and was approved. it is unlike any other AD. it is actually stimulating more often than sedating--it is related to the diet drug diethylpropion. (tenuate) it is pretty good at smoking cessation, a sexual stimulant, (that is WAY off-label), used for ADHD, among other stimulants. It is available immediate release, sustained, and extended release, so sleep problems may be avoided with the right form and time of day into account. so far, no generic issues compared with brand are known, so check out which you take and consider not taking any bupropion of any formula after noon. it is a good drug, but not typical of any other antidepressants. hope this helps.
