Power PICC's

Hello, I have been a PICC nurse for several years and have been using power PICC's for the last 3 years. I had used BARD power PICC's in the past but have just started at a new facility and have been using a different brand and there is a precautionary statement on the brochure that says the PICC was tested for power injection adequatley 5 times in a ninety day period. Someone has taken this as to mean that the PICC can be only used for power injection 5 times and needs to be changed. I do not feel this is to be taken so strict as a guideline.
My question is has any one had a power PICC rupture during power injection and what were the circumstances behind it??
Does anyone have anything to offer in the form of articles related to the incidence of rupture of PICC lines or the use in power injection??

Thank you madam PICC
