IV complications & Admixtures help needed

I am a student & I have a quizz tomorrow (just announced). I do not know what admixtures are for sure & as far as I know we have never gone over it. I have tried to look it up in my skills book but I really can't find any thing. We were also told to focus on piggybacks & interventions for complications. So if someone could set me straight I would really appreciate it! I am thinking the admixtures are mixing meds?? & would need to be sure they are compatible, good date, clear if they are clear to start with. Complications of iv thearpy, I think I know but would like your input to see how far off I am. Thanks for your help!

IVPB complication are usually antibiotics. If there are complications usually first thing to do is to raise HOB, turn off the pump and monitor vitals.
As far as 'admixtures' I can make an educated guess. Something like IV Keflex. It comes in a container with a pull top lid which you attach to a 500ml bag, break the seal and squeeze some liquid into the med and shake it and squeeze bag again to remove the contents. Dates right fluid right patient (you know the 5 rights thing)
Other complications of IV could be infiltration, reactions and probably others that I can't think of right now.
