Recent CNA grad

I just finished my cna course and passed all the required testing. I am at a standstill as for finding a job in new york/ new jersey area. I need some advice on where should i go and where can i get the best pay rate. I am also interested on the best shfit as i will be starting my lpn school soon. I need somehwhere that would provide me the best pay, shift, downtime and experience theres to offer as a CNA.

Congrats on your new licensure. CNA's in NJ do not make that much money, but if you would like to go to school while working an an aide try working 11p-7a. It is by far the least stressful shift I have ever done. Try working for Atlantic Health Care Systems, Saint Barnabas Health Care System, or Trinitas Hospital. They are all major systems in central and norther NJ. Good look!

hospitals in ny start CNA's about 14-15 an hr and the experience will help you in furthering your education. night shift is less stressfull.
