My mother was an LVN/LPN who worked in CCU for 16 years and loved every minute of it. The stories she used to tell when she came home from work were something else! Anyway, I wish you well with your interview. You have the fact that you are already a nursing student going for you. Show a positive attitude at the interview (which I have no doubt you will), even if they throw you a question that kind of knocks you off balance. Don't show it, keep your cool. I usually post this list for people who are looking for their first RN job, but I'll post it for you. Just keep these ideas and the positive attitude in mind while you're being interviewed as most managers have these things on their minds these days:
- initiative
- dynamic energy
- responsibility
- ability to give good customer service
- capacity to learn
- productivity
- flexibility
- leadership
- team work
- ability to tolerate pressure
- analytical ability
- desire to develop professionally
Good luck!
