First, you're certified (hence the 'c' in CNA), not licensed. In many states, you do not receive a piece of paper. I have no paper showing my certification in Illinois. I simply get added to the nurse registry that everyone has the ability to look at either by name or social. The registry also shows (again, in Illinois) if I have any actions pending against me, or complaints.
You need to check with the Department of Health with your state, whomever deals with certification, and ask them directly.
