Unhappy CNA & Hysterectomy ?

Good Morning,

I need advice. I just finished my CNA training on Dec 20th and had a TAH (total abdominal hysterectomy) on the 26th. Before surgery, I thought that I was going to be fine and ready for work at a Nursing Care Facility after the 6 weeks required recovery. But now I have doubts.... what should I do? what would you do?

Any advice is welcome!

Thanks!

Blessed 2008!

Sweet Lily

Re: CNA & Hysterectomy ?

How many more weeks of recovery do you have and what is making you think that you won't be strong enough? If you aren't feeling up to par you might want to visit your PCP in the meantime and find out what is going on. Hope everything goes well for you, you might just need a little more time than the "normal" recovery time. Not every person is the same

Re: CNA & Hysterectomy ?

You need to follow the advice of your surgeon. Only he/she can properly advise you.

Good luck and we hope you feel better soon.
