I don't know about other states but TX CNA exam was fairly easy when I took it in Dec 06. We had Nurse Examiner come down from the capital and we had four randomly selected skills to perform (mine were communicating with a patient who has memory loss, hand washing, manual B/P, and moving resident to head of the bed...i got all the easy skills) and a 70-question test.
CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYBODY ON THE FORUM WHO PASSED THEIR CNA EXAM!!! It is sure an accomplished and worth the hard work. I passed my CNA exam in July. Whoooooooo!!!
I originally took my CNA Dec 2004 and passed but due reasons not able to work as a cna. Never gave up and reinstated my License recently and now offered to work in a hospital GI pre-op unit. Looking forward to it and have to decided whether to apply for a lpn in 2008 fall of just do my prerequisites for BSN. Still researching but have taken the first step to my dream.
Yeah!!! I passed my CNA test last Saturday, and landed a job at the Veteran's Home today!! I was VERY nervous, but my interview went really well, and I start my orientation on the 3rd of December!!!!
