is there a nurse diabetologist?

we are gonna conduct a seminar and our topic is about nurse diabetologist, i searched the web and i found out that a diabetologist is a physician. from what i know, we are only able to conduct topics within the nursing field and i think we kind of overlap.... i think the right term is Diabetes specialist nurse (DSN).... i need confirmation so that i could reason out the problem about our topic..... thanks!

Re: is there a nurse diabetologist?

Endocrinologists treat many different hormonal disorders, whereas a diabetologist is an endocrinologist who devotes his/her practice to diabetes. Endos treat PCOS, thyroid disorders, and hormonal disorders related to the adrenal glands, ovaries, testes, and pituitary glands, as well as diabetes and other pancreatic disorders, etc.
