Anyone know any other medical fiction writers? I love Michael Palmer and Robin Cook.
I like Tess Garritsen too. Gravity is the latest. All are excellent.

Michael Crichton. YES!

The first chapters of Jurassic Park are great. The science part didn't make it into the movies.

And if you like medical science fiction you can't beat JAMES WHITE.He died a few years ago after writing the Sector General series among others.

I am reading "Heaven, close encounters of the God kind" by Jesse DePlante. I have to say I am hating it. It is written with an arogance I don't care for. But, when I started reading it I made a commitment to finish it so hopefully I'll be done inthe next day or two so I can start a good one. I finished reading "the 5 people you meet in heaven" by Mitch Albom and loved it.

Just quit, life is too short for bad books.

So, what are you reading right now????
Review for the Medical/Surgical Nursing Certification Exam. I was at K Mart today so tempted to buy a Jude Dereraux novel but didn't.

I really enjoy the murder mystery series by Barbara Hambley about Dr. Benjamin January. They are set in New Orleans during the 1830's.

LOTs of historical details.

That's an old one, but one of his better ones. Good light hearted reading that you can read a chapter at a time and put it down for a while.

I know exactly what you mean. School work is always there like a monkey on your back. I went to a bookstore and bought five books as soon as I graduated, but had NCLEX over my head. You really can't totally relax until you get those results, then reading is truely a pleasure again.
