U of MD CNM Program

I see U of MD "deactivated" this program. Does anyone know why? I have toyed w/ the idea of going there for a post-masters. I am working on my MSN in perinatal education right now. I am disappointed. I got my BSN form Uof MD. I couldn't seem to see any reason as to why they got rid of this program which I think was only 7-8 years old.

Re: U of MD CNM Program

I don't know anything about this program, but have you tried calling them and asking? It would be sad for yet another CNM program to close.

There's also distance programs like Frontier and one in Philadelphia that you can get a CNM certificate once you have your MSN, but I'm sure you're aware of that ....

Re: U of MD CNM Program

I emailed them and was told that the program is closed with no plans to reopen. yes, bummer. that leaves georgetown locally and hopkins has an option through a partnership with shenandoah university you could check into.
