Okay I have to share: When I was a direct-entry midwifery student, my preceptor was a Frontier grad ('02). We went to attend a home visit for a birth in the mountains (of a mountain state, sorry to be vague

) and were intrigued by the "Breckenridge" wrought iron arch above the property. The pregnant woman was the caretaker of the property and through the conversation we learned that we were on Mary Breckenridge's family property! The barn was filled with midwifery memorabilia. When my preceptor told her the story of Mary she said, "So that explains those pictures of the women with babies on horses!" Wow!
Anyway, congratulations on being Frontier Bound. I know many happy grads of the program and hope to consider it whenever I get in and graduate from a ADN program. I'm currently a non-nurse midwife (licensed, certified).
