Question Any advice about Philadelphia U?

I'm seriously considering the Philadelphia U CNM program. What can you tell me about it? Any insight into their admissions process, their program, the classes, etc. would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Re: Any advice about Philadelphia U?

I am interested in them too; but they are my 3rd choice (I am in California, paying out of state tuition is somthing I would like to avoid) I wrote them and they sent me a packet with a bunch of info and a CD-ROM. They send me e-mail from time to time with school updates; maybe you could do that if you have not already.

Re: Any advice about Philadelphia U?

I applied and Visited the campus this past year, when I was still looking into different degree programs. Their campus is Beautiful, and it has a very close-knit feel to it. As for out of state tuition costs, it is a private university so, everyone pays the same Tuition.

If you have any questions let me know and I will try and help out,

God Bless

Re: Any advice about Philadelphia U?

I graduated from U of P, but back in 1992, it was an awesome program and I was ready when I graduated to start. It was a close knit program, I think we had only 13 in our class. The off campus clinical rotations were great and very supportive. I had the opportunity to work with home birth midwives in Lancaster PA, so that really cemented all I had learned. good luck and let me know how it works out. I have been a practicing CNM for 15 years, but this year I moved into an education role, ADN program to give myself a break and get refreshed.

Re: Any advice about Philadelphia U?

Phila U is a different school/program from U Penn. The former is a community-based distance program only.
