I am a hospice nurse with over 6 years of hospice experience. I am being considered for a new position as an admissions nurse with my current employer, and I'd like to know if people think I should ask for a raise. There may be bonuses involved with this new position, but should I ask for a raise as well? And if so, how big?
Our admissions nurses make the same salary or hourly rate as the case managers. I did admissions for a while and it was a good break from case management for a while. I know that some hospices offer bonus money to admissions nurses based on their conversion rate, but otherwise, I would consider this a lateral move.
