Re: Reference books

Handbook for Mortals- Joanne Lynn, MD and Joan Harrold, MD
Symptom control in hospice and palliative care, Peter Kaye (probably out of print), Symptom management algorithms, a handbook for patient care by Linda Wrede-Seaman, MD
I have found all these helpful

Re: Reference books

Hi Lola,
I've just been working in Hospice two weeks now. The book that everyone raves about is the one mentioned by River - called 'Notes on Symptom Control in Hospice & Palliative Care' by Peter Kaye. It is not out of print - you can order the 2005 (latest) edition for $35. plus $5. S&H from:
orders@hospiceworld.org.
I'm just ordering myself a copy
