Q's re: Home Hospice in San Francisco

Hi, I'm new to allnurses.com, it's terrific. I'm moving to San Francisco soon, have seen recruitment ads for Kaiser and Sutter Home Hospice RN's. Can anyone tell me what a Full Time RN would make per hour? I have 10 yrs. RN/NP experience.

I worked for a VNS service in my city for about 6 mos in the acute care division. We were expected to discharge patients pretty quickly. I guess I shouldn't have been surprised by this, but I was. I'm hoping hospice is different and that there isn't the same pressure to severely limit the number of visits. I assume that the hospice patient's case is left open for the time they have remaining. Am I right? ty

New grad hospital staff nurses in the area get about $42 per hour. Not sure about the specifics with hospice, but it should be something similar.

Then just factor in the experience.
