Hi all!

I am a *new* hospice nurse, originally from psych (still doing that too), and am interested in changing my specialty for NP school to Palliative Care from Psych. I would be starting the specialty this fall..

The organization I work with now has one NP that seems to enjoy her job, and be satisfied with her position though she is not reimbursed by Medicare (this is nation wide correct?) and has to be employed by the system instead.

Wondering what your thoughts were regarding Palliative Care NP's, they're future in nursing, they're problems/challenges as you all know so much more than I do.
