Question Palliative Care community nurses

Can anyone tell me how the number of nurses required for community nursing is established. Where I work the Palliative Care Community nurses don't deliver direct patient care rather are a consultancy service, do home visits to patients, do assessments, liase with other members of the health team and to some extent do bereavement follow up. I was wondering what the number of clients per nurse are in other palliative care community organisations are.
Cheers

question

My husband runs a hospice and I asked him this. He said where he works, his is the Director, the hospice nurses consult on the phone with anyone to help them.........they have no number they shoot for when they manage their cases. Is that what your looking for? I have been in home health 11 years and I was hoping I could respond correctly. If you have other questions I would be more than happy to try to help you.
