Low Census

Hi kids...just wondering if your hospice census is on the low side...our home care is low also... thanks

Ours is pretty low too. There is talk about cutting staff...yikes!

My team has been on the slow side for the last 4-5 months or sobut the overall growth is meeting budget. Our hospice seems to be pretty good about "waiting it out" for us.

We're on the low side and way down in facilities. Many of the NH's are skilling for Palliative Care so that leaves us out in the cold. We're working on building back up...seeing it all over the area with different companies.

Most every place got hit with the FMR's and lost quite a bit of money when payment was denied. It's quite an incentive to make sure everyone on service qualifies. We all know some that are "ify" and some that shouldn't still be on service. They qualified at admission, but with the additional support we provide, they are doing better...
