Does this sound like a good arrangement?

I've been tentatively hired as an on-call hospice nurse with a local agency. I've been told it is weekends and the weekend starts at 8pm Friday night and ends at 8pm Sunday night. The position is salaried and they pay gas mileage(tough they won't discuss an exact pay rate with me right now) and I get benefits.

I've been told to expect some weekends that are very slow and some weekends I won't stop running.

I don't mind the work at all. I think I will like it a lot better than the home health job where I was on duty 24 hrs. a day 6-7 days a week. I like that there would be definite times I was on duty and off duty.

Is anyone familiar with this set up? Since it is a 48 hr. per week arrangement would it make sense to expect full-time pay?

The woman ran me through kind of fast so I didn't get to ask a lot of questions but she made me an appointment to get with the regional manager.
