As I go thru 400 messages that have

by prmenrs

Aug 17, 2006 10:56 PM - accumulated since my last visit, trying to spot stuff that needs to be "moderated", I often come across one I'd like to 'put aside' to check out further. Not something that needs moderation, just something that interests me, but I'm trying to get caught up, and I might be @ work so I can't "mail myself the link".

Is there, or could there be a "folder" one could stow that sort of thing till you have time to enjoy it?

Thnx,

prmenrs

Aug 18, 2006 09:59 AM - One just needs to set up "follow-up" folder (can name it anything you want).

1.Check box a PM you want save for later
2. Go to bottom of PM list, select "Move to folder"

<TABLE class=tborder cellSpacing=1 cellPadding=6 width="100%" align=center border=0><TBODY id=collapseobj_pmf0_2_weeks_ago><TR><TD class=alt1></TD><TD class=alt2></TD><TD class=alt1Active id=m329514 width="100%">08-01-2006 HOW TO REQUEST A PACKETnclex?
12:08 PM shiina

</TD><TD class=alt2 style="PADDING-RIGHT: 0px; PADDING-LEFT: 0px; PADDING-BOTTOM: 0px; PADDING-TOP: 0px" align=middle><INPUT type=checkbox value=0_2_weeks_ago name=pm[329514]></TD></TR></TBODY><TBODY><TR><TD class=tfoot align=right colSpan=4>Selected Messages: <SELECT name=dowhat> <OPTION value=move selected>Move to folder...</OPTION> <OPTION value=delete>Delete</OPTION> <OPTION value=read>Mark as read</OPTION> <OPTION value=unread>Mark as unread</OPTION> <OPTION value=xml>Download as XML</OPTION> <OPTION value=csv>Download as CSV</OPTION> <OPTION value=txt>Download as TEXT</OPTION></SELECT> <INPUT class=button type=submit value=Go>

</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

3. First time will get message, click on HERE

<TABLE class=tborder cellSpacing=1 cellPadding=6 width="70%" align=center border=0><TBODY><TR><TD class=tcat>vBulletin Message</TD></TR><TR><TD class=panelsurround align=middle>
You must first create a custom folder if you wish to be able to move messages from your inbox. You may start by clicking Here.

</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

4. Enter name of new folder, Click "Save Folders"

<TABLE class=tborder cellSpacing=1 cellPadding=6 width="100%" align=center border=0><TBODY><TR><TD class=tcat>Edit Folders</TD></TR><TR><TD class=panelsurround align=middle>
<FIELDSET class=fieldset><LEGEND>Standard Folders</LEGEND><TABLE cellSpacing=3 cellPadding=0 border=0><TBODY><TR><TD>Inbox contains 386 stored messages. Empty Folder</TD></TR><TR><TD>Sent Items contains 361 stored messages. Empty Folder</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></FIELDSET> <FIELDSET class=fieldset><LEGEND>Add New Folders</LEGEND><TABLE cellSpacing=3 cellPadding=0 border=0><TBODY><TR><TD>Folder Name:
<INPUT class=bginput title="Folder id: 1" size=50 value="Follow-up " name=folder[1]> </TD></TR><TR><TD>Folder Name:
<INPUT class=bginput title="Folder id: 2" size=50 name=folder[2]> </TD></TR><TR><TD>Folder Name:
<INPUT class=bginput title="Folder id: 3" size=50 name=folder[3]> </TD></TR><TR><TD>To add a new folder, enter the name of the new folder in one of the empty boxes in the list.</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></FIELDSET>

<INPUT class=button accessKey=s type=submit value="Save Folders"> <INPUT class=button accessKey=r type=reset value="Reset Fields">
</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

5. Go back to messages you want to move, select message at bottom "move to folder". Now have dropdown to select folder you want to move PM's within.

<TABLE class=tborder cellSpacing=1 cellPadding=6 width="100%" align=center border=0><TBODY><TR><TD class=tcat>Move Private Messages</TD></TR><TR><TD class=panelsurround align=middle>
<FIELDSET class=fieldset><LEGEND>Move 1 items from 'Inbox'</LEGEND><TABLE cellSpacing=3 cellPadding=0 border=0><TBODY><TR><TD>Please select a destination folder for the items that you wish to move.</TD></TR><TR><TD>Folder Name:

<SELECT name=folderid><OPTION value=1 selected>Follow-up (0 Messages)</OPTION> <OPTION value=2>Long Term Save (0 Messages)</OPTION></SELECT>
</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></FIELDSET>

<INPUT class=button accessKey=s type=submit value="Move Items"> <INPUT class=button accessKey=c onclick=history.back(1) type=button value=Cancel>

</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

Aug 18, 2006 12:27 PM - I want to save posts, not pms., Karen. How do I do that?

Aug 18, 2006 12:40 PM - With my email, I will often leave the post up for later viewing. There are times, I save links on a Word document for later viewing.

Karen knows the system better then I on AllNurses, so perhaps there is a way on the BB.

I hope you do not mind my chiming in Sandy.

Aug 18, 2006 01:04 PM - Well, @ home, I could email the link to myself, but I can't do that @ work. It's not a huge problem, but I'd like to be able to find something again!

Aug 20, 2006 10:57 PM - Under thread tools, two options: sending email or subscribing to thread.....subscribing your best option from work.

<TABLE cellSpacing=1 cellPadding=4 border=0><TBODY><TR><TD class=thead>Thread Tools</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vbmenu_option controlkey="threadtools"> Show Printable Version</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vbmenu_option controlkey="threadtools"> Email this Page</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vbmenu_option controlkey="threadtools"> Subscribe to this Thread </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

Again, just add a folder under subscription section ( same way as for PM' per previous post above) labeled "followup". Can then review at your leasure.

<TABLE class=tborder cellSpacing=1 cellPadding=6 border=0><TBODY><TR><TD class=thead noWrap>Subscribed Threads<SCRIPT type=text/javascript> vbmenu_register("nav_subsfolders"); </SCRIPT> <TABLE cellSpacing=1 cellPadding=4 border=0><TBODY><TR><TD class=thead noWrap>Folders</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vbmenu_option>Subscriptions</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=alt2 noWrap>List Subscriptions</TD></TR><TR><TD class=alt1 noWrap>Edit Folders</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

<TABLE class=tborder cellSpacing=1 cellPadding=6 width="100%" align=center border=0><TBODY><TR><TD class=tcat>Edit Folders</TD></TR><TR vAlign=top><TD class=panelsurround align=middle>
<FIELDSET class=fieldset><LEGEND>Your Folders</LEGEND><TABLE cellSpacing=3 cellPadding=0 border=0><TBODY><TR><TD>Folder Name
<INPUT class=bginput maxLength=25 size=50 value=Subscriptions name=folderlist[0]></TD></TR><TR><TD>To rename a folder, edit the folder's name in the list.</TD></TR><TR><TD>To delete a folder, remove the folder's name from the list.</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></FIELDSET> <FIELDSET class=fieldset><LEGEND>Add New Folders</LEGEND><TABLE cellSpacing=3 cellPadding=0 border=0><TBODY><TR><TD>Folder Name
<INPUT class=bginput maxLength=25 size=50 value=Follow-up name=folderlist[1]></TD></TR><TR><TD>Folder Name
<INPUT class=bginput maxLength=25 size=50 name=folderlist[2]></TD></TR><TR><TD>Folder Name
<INPUT class=bginput maxLength=25 size=50 name=folderlist[3]></TD></TR><TR><TD>To add a new folder, enter the name of the new folder in one of the empty boxes in the list.</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></FIELDSET>

<INPUT type=hidden value=doeditfolders name=do> <INPUT class=button accessKey=s type=submit value="Save Folders"> <INPUT class=button accessKey=s type=reset value="Reset Fields">
</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

Can then go to User CP, click on subscribed threads and review it at your convenience..... that's what I do when I just need to get my :twocents: in or contact poster.
