Re: What type of exercise do you do??

I love my Turbo Jam(sold at Beachbody.com) and Tae Bo DVD's, they are anywhere from 45 to 60min long. On days that I have classes I work out on the gym, 45min on the elliptical, and 30min of strength training. I TRY to work out at least 4-7 days/week.

Re: What type of exercise do you do??

I work out at Gold's Gym. I love it because it is opened 24 hours and really helps me meet my workout goals. I recently started working out 5 weeks ago. I do 45 minutes of cardio, 5 days a week. getting my heart rate to 130 for that length of time. It helps so much with stress. I love it. I think now I am addicted. Trying to learn some strength training, but I have to admit I am a little overhwhelmed and nervous when there are guys around. I guess I am self-conscious. But I am trying and that makes me happy. I am entering my 4th semester of nursing school and exercising is going to be a priority.

Re: What type of exercise do you do??

I just started working out with kettlebells. They're some old Russian contraptions that look like cannonballs with a handle on top. You can get them at places like Target now. If you do some research on the internet, they are supposed to be excellent for both burning fat and building lean muscle. Kettlebell training is catching on in California, but it's relatively unheard of most other places. I decided to try it after hearing some fitness guru on the radio talking about them.

I've done 3 workouts so far, and they've all kicked my butt! I will report back in a few weeks and let you know if I see any results. Anyway, I'm very excited about it, as this form of training has been around for hundreds of years, so while it initially might sound gimicky, it's not.

Re: What type of exercise do you do??

I do Pilates mat work . I do not have a reformer. I run, bike, have a rowing machine, weights and kayak. I also walk my dog. When I feel really tired and a bit injured I will do some yoga. Love it all.

Re: What type of exercise do you do??

I personally love to bike, bench and pushups, and free weights. I have a hard time getting into a scedule with the hectic schedule of the hospital, but enjoy myself when I am on schedule.

Re: What type of exercise do you do??

Yesterday I jogged a pitifully slow 2 miles on the treadmill. Today DH and I did 5 - 6 miles on our bikes, in very hilly terrain - we live in the mountains.

I TRY to get up early enough to walk the 1.25 miles to work, because I then start the day with my heart already started.

And I need to get back to exercising at some intensity every day, and doing push-up, crunches, and something for my trcieps. I'd really like them to be reattached to my arms.

Re: What type of exercise do you do??

I run approximately 20 miles per week, and lift weights 2-3 times per week.

It sounds like a lot, but the paybacks are enormous (mentally and both physically).

Re: What type of exercise do you do??

My exercise consists of the big three. Swimming, Running, Biking. I love participating in marathons and triathelons. Seems like I'm always running to somewhere or back from somewhere anyway. I stay very busy. There are some other sports I am into as well.
