25?
Didn't work at my house...

I just look at them when they're asleep and love them then...
Rest of the time I'd rather hit them over the head with a brick... JK!!!!

I understand it is supposed to get better... I'm waiting patiently... and waiting, and waiting...

Whenever things got to the stage of me throttling a child I would go into the kitchen ,pick up an orange tumbler(plastic) and hurl it at the walls, made a satisfying noise and didn't hurt anything!!My kids always made a strategic exit if they saw me picking up tumblers as they knew they had overstepped the mark!Course when you are only 5foot 4 and they all tower over you it can get more difficult!I'm happy to report that they are all now fairly sane and sensible grown ups.

This made me smile.

My wife has ordered a child to stand at the bottom of the stairs; she stepped up to the 2nd step and looked down at the child so she could chew him out properly...

Sabby..you are a doll, volunteering to take teens like ma boy!!!!

I have 2 girlies, aged 20 & 18, never had a minutes bad stuff from them. They are spirited lassies, but always wee angels! THEN.........Comes the BOY!!!!!

O>>>M>>>>G>>>>, this boy, when he's all sugar he's sooo sweet, ...when things just dont go his way...Hes DAMIEN, Omen 1, 2, & 3!!!!!!

He knows what buttons to push though, hes such a charmer.

Give me TEN Girlies...compared to this one boy..(aged 15!!)

Never thought of doing that!! Most of the time I could defuse things with humour, and,on occasion,I can swear better than them!I never found 'grounding'worked, basically they would then make my life a misery till I 'ungrounded 'them.I must admit that, listening to others,I got off very lightly in the terrible teens stakes.

Re: unruley teens

It worked pretty well in the humor department... the kid busted out laughing and Chris kept going until she was laughing too.

Re: unruley teens

Do you think WE ever were teens??????
OMG...I was an absolute nightmare! I did everything from mind altering substances, to joining the Mormons..all for effect! All whilst staying true to my Gothic roots! Swung from extreme to further extreme, all for reaction!
If that were any of my kiddos, I'd ground them!
Until they were way past thirty!
Changing times, now I'm a grown up!
