Re: stomach fluuu

Ugh! I am so sorry that you are sick. It is truly a horrible feeling. I had the crud last week.
Woke up at 8 am vomiting. Vomited and had diarrhea every 50 minutes like clockwork for the entire day and night. When the vomiting stopped, the diarrhea continued for 2 days. Body aches and a 101 degree fever continued for 2 days following that.
After day 5, I was totally fine and I felt like a new person!
For the nausea, take some slow deep breathes. I also find that 'sugary' drinks help me (Coke, Ginger Ale, Gatorade).
Take small sips though. I was soooo incredibly thirsty after 10 hours of vomiting, that I gulped down a drink, only to throw it up 20 minutes later.
To be honest with you though, I'd rather have something in my stomach to bring up, then to be kneeling over the toilet with the dry heaves.
Keep a bunch of towels by your bed and a small waste basket. I would also recommend lining the pathway to the bathroom with sheets just in case you can't make it. Trust me.......
Hope you fell better soon!!!
