Re: Looking for a great workout!

Commuter...quick question for ya'

How much time do you put into each exercise? Or, how many reps and set do you do? When you are doing cardio, how long do you do those exercises?

Thanks

PS - Where to begin is really the help I need. I did buy a video designed for firefighters (I volly), and am planning on doing cardio the days I don't do the video. Have a fitness center at my workplace i plan on using after my orientation to it next week. TRrying to juggle work and school right now is hectic!

I typically do 3 sets with 8 to 12 reps when working with free weights. A full body workout with weights only takes me about 35 to 40 minutes, twice weekly.

Regarding the cardio, I usually exercise for 35 to 45 minutes.

Re: Looking for a great workout!

If you want to try something a little bit different but a lot of fun you could go out and buy a Nintendo Wii

It might sound silly at first but it keeps you moving and it can get your heart rate up. The system comes included with a Sports disc that has various games like tennis, boxing, baseball, golf, and bowling. They even have a workout version of the games where they keep you moving to get your heart rate up.

I played the boxing game on there a couple times and it really felt like a good work out. I'd definitely recommend it if you were looking for something different.

Pilates Is A Great Choice. Also The Investment Of An Eliptical Machine Was One Of My Best Choices.
