Inspirational thoughts

I wasn't quite sure where to post this, but it seems to fit the best here.

We had a crappy weekend: lots of admissions, a lovely GI bug making the rounds of the patients, several staff out with pneumonia, an increase in combative patients, and so on. So we all took some time to find some thoughts to help us get through it. Credit, where known, given in parentheses.

Be the change you wish to see in the world. (Mahatma Ghandi)

The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. (Eleanor Roosevelt)

Change your thoughts, and you change the world. (chinese proverb)

In opening to the abundance of the universe, anything is possible.

I will not allow myself to be less than I am to meet anyone's expectations.

It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are. (e.e. cummings)

Perhaps strength doesn't reside in having never been broken...but in the courage required to grow strong in the broken place.

Faith is believing in things when common sense tells you not to. (George Seaton)

I love you to the moon and back

Home is where your mom is.

When you come to the edge of all the light you have known and are about to step out into the darkness, FAITH is knowing one of two things will happen...There will be something to stand on or you will be taught how to fly.

Today I stop. I breath deep and rest. With grateful tears I weep because I have come so far.

What we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us. (Helen Keller)

May the sun bring you new energy by day, may the moon softly restore you by night, may the rain wash away your worries, may the breeze blow new strength into your being, may you walk gently through the world and know its beauty all the days of your life. (apache blessing)

Peace begins with a smile. (Mother Teresa)

Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Play with abandon. Practice wellness. Laugh. Risk love. Continue to learn. Appreciate your friends. Choose with no regret. Stand by your family. Celebrate the holidays that make sense. Lead or follow a leader. Do what you love. Love as if this is all there is. (Mary Anne Radmacher)

Life is what you make it. Always has been. Always will be. (Granda Moses)

If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day, so I never have to live without you. (Winnie the Pooh-AA Milne)

Girls can lead, laugh, shout, leap, make decisions, trust each other, say "no" & believe in themselves (Raphaella Vaisseau)

Cinderella goes to the ball...and takes it to the net!

A friend knows the song in your heart and can sing it back to you when you've forgotten the words.

Do small things with great love. (Mother Teresa)

Don't forget fun.

It doesn't matter where you are in life, it's who you have beside you.

What would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail?

Do not go where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail. (Emerson)

Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly

and one of my favorites:
Dance as though no one is watching you
Sing as though no one can hear you
Love as though you have never been hurt
Live as though heaven is on earth
