Re: Healthier Living Thread Part V

Well I'm a little confused because I weight into today, six days into my diet and it says I lost 10 lbs. I was hoping for a pound or two and I'm very skepital that the scale is right. I hope it is!

Today I was off diet for breakfast because of junk at work bagels, and we had a party at lunch and I had fried chicken and sweets. It was good.

Make sure there's nothing under your scale, Tweety. I thought I was doing super great on my diet, like a pound a day, until the day came I "lost" twelve pounds overnight. A lipstick had gotten wedged under the scale and I hadn't lost any weight at all... so sad...

If it's accurate, though, congrats!!!

I'm little, too (that's the advantage of being short . . . you can say you're little vertical-wise and just not go into all the details of the horizontal setting . They have more petite clothing now than they used to, but it's sometimes very limiting, yes? Especially with long sleeves--I definitely don't have to wear mittens in the winter .
HA HA HA! definitely a lol on that last part! {{{{{{{{Hiker}}}}}}}

Awesome Tweety - I hope your scale is right, that's great!

Hi guys, Hiker, Zoe, all!!!

LOL on the "short" stuff, hehe. I am on the other end of the spectrum, I am tall and so nothing is ever long enough for me. Pants are the worst, I always feel like I have been transported back in time as my ankles are very visible. Summer is fine - capris are good, but winter usually requires trips to expensive stores where they actually sell pants long enough, lol! Darn legs, hehe.

Well, this week has been crazy for me, 3 tests, two assignments, and a discussion all were due this week, plus trying to prep for our first level 2 med/surg clinicals this weekend. Yikes! I am exhausted already. Hehe. Oh well, less than a year, less than a year, less than a year, lol! I am actually looking forward to clinicals, just not 12 hour days, I've been working my tail off all week and I need a break, thank goodness we are closed Monday and so that will be my day off.

Well, on the plus side, I have managed to walk every day - you're right Tweety - it is possible, yeay! It does help me feel better and clear my head, so I'm not giving that up. I walked from 11:30 to midnight last night, but I am determined! Hehe.

Take care y'all, have a great weekend!

I can't imagine having that "problem" lol - but if I had to spend extra $ I guess I wouldn't like that.

On the other hand, doesn't take you as long to travel that long hall at work! Our break/rest room is so far from the front of the store that I forego eating and bathroom breaks for as long as possible... Not because of the workout but because it takes so much time!

Walking at that hour, eh? Hope you weren't alone!

How are the chillins doing?

LOL! I never thought of that. Hehe. Thanks, maybe I'll appreciate my long legs next time I walk down a long hallway

I was walking alone, but I live in a rural community of about 60 people who are mostly retired, so it's very safe. The town was bedded down for the night except for the wild rabbits, cats & a few dogs. It was very peaceful.

Kiddos are doing great. My son is enjoying pre-school and the girl is eating up the extra attention from the babysitter when he's gone, lol! Gotta love the little ones!

Re: Healthier Living Thread Part V

Wow this is great cause I find myself on Weight Watchers AGAIN...lol. My mom is getting married and I'm the maid of honor and since it's a May wedding she wants us all to be more slender for the wedding. We all definitely have enough time to do that.

I'm following Body for Life and the LL Cool J, workout plan though. I'm loving these exercises, I love lifting weights and my legs are getting toned. Yes I think muscular toned legs are sexy woo hoo. I will be able to show my legs off for Memorial Day and Bike Week in Myrtle Beach LOL.

Oh yea make sure you calibrate and have your scale on a FLAT surface. Not on a bath mat or anything you WILL get inaccurate readings. My scale is digital so it can be calibrated easily, I only weigh myself once a week and then of course Weight Watcher meetings.

Hope everyone does well. I will post before and after....of my legs LOL. Thanks Tweety for starting this again.

Hi Cherish! Awesome with the legs!

Zoe - lol! I don't get as much time with the kiddos as I'd like, but I try to make each minute I have with them count. We read a lot of books at night and we spend a ton of time cuddling, even when I'm reading, I keep them on my lap or next to me. I can't wait until I'm done with school and can spend more time with them!

Have a great weekend all, I'm outta here!!!
