Oh yea the boxing class was HORRID LOL. I felt like dookie the whole time doing it. It was circuit training that I never felt before. It was WORSE than anything I did in the Army. You shadowbox, then run 2 laps, jump rope, run 2 laps, lift weights for biceps, shoulders, run 2 laps, push ups (army style!), run 2 laps, sit ups, crunches, and flutterkick, run 2 laps, then box with boxing bags during that time you run 2 more laps 2 more time and then to end it all you run 2 more laps!!!
Everyone was heaving and looking like we were going to barf. My boyfriend who is a fantastic basketball player and plays college ball, was even feeling the affects 3 days after the workout. And he loves to run!!!
I'm going to do it again though because I have NEVER felt so tired and exhausted and so PLEASED to be done with a workout in my life LOL. You burn on average a 1000 cals in this workout and I totally believe this, most I've burned was from spinning class and this was nothing like spinning for an hour!
Sounds great!! I wish you continued success!!!!!!!!

Lentil and cabbage, sounds delicious!! Reminds me of the time I brought some garlic shrimp to work and they closed the breakroom door on me.

I guess if she read this she would no longer consider us friends lol...

I make a killer lentil soup as well but put Kale in it as well as onions, leeks ,carrots and potatoes. It's a definite cure for constipation and usually works in about an hour!!I love making soup,no garlic though,it does not like me much!and DH does not like it.I take a level teaspoon of cinnamon in my cereal in the morning then I have cinnamon tabs which I take with my main meals.I don't know if it's the cinnamon ,but something is working.
Anyone heard of the no trans-fat diet over there? There is a theory which is currently being tried out by some diabetics(Type 2)that getting rid of all trans fats in the diet and replacing them with natural or cold pressed oils will eventually "cure"Type 2.Now,this involves taking up to 4 tablespoons of Hemp oil and Linseed oil a day and I will not be trying that because my stomach just would not stand that amount of raw oil (((shudder)))Some of those trying it have indeed got their blood sugars down to "normal "levels and kept them there.
Well I'm chuffed that you're chuffed! I've made lentil kale soup before as well. I make a big batch of lentils every couple of weeks in some fashion or another. (being nearly vegetarian constipation have NEVER been a problem with me, I can't think I've ever had that problem, except in the early 80's when I was on an antidepressant. LOL). I haven't heard about the no-trans-fat diet but those oils I hear are healthy and have a lot of omega 3's. I sometimes swallow a tablespoon of flax because and it's an acquired taste.

mmmm.....let them close the door, garlic shrimp and butter!!! YUM!
Today was a good day, even though I forgot my soup I stuck to a huge salad with lots of broccoli and dark green leafies. Because I was going to the gym I had two boiled eggs and some fat free yogurt and that seemed to last. I made vegan ruben (sp?) for dinner and it was very good. I might have it again tomorrow because there's leftover tempeh.

{{{{{{{{{{{Tweety}}}}}}}} Good for you! Forgetting lunch day often means eating-what-I-want day, so I am very proud you stuck to something GOOD!

I did fair this week. I lost 1 more pound, but I haven't been walking. Tarsal tunnel is acting up, dang it. I've met my calorie goals so far, though.
I admire those of you who are exercising. I really need to get up off my butt somehow.

Yep- like carpal tunnel, but in the ankle. It's pinching my tibial nerve.
You are so sweet- thanks for the pick-me-up. Someone noticed my weight loss at work today- yay!!! It gave me a spark.
