Gentle, hope your toe is better. It's funny how such a small part of the body ends up feeling a lot bigger when it hurts.
Zoemaloey, great news about the weight loss. Eight pounds is significant. Woo hoo .

Of course, it may have something to do with the fact that I've made a few decisions and am now comfortable with proceeding forward with life. And, of course I had to celebrate!!!
Did I mention that I made the "kids" chocolate cake and chocolate icing?
And who do you think has helped eat that cake and icing?
Needless to say, I am trying to be more careful about what I am eating and when.
On the other hand, my kids are feeling mommy love because I made a cake for them. They are having fun sharing part of the cake with friends who come to visit. Improvements are being seen in other areas of my life. I am much more clear and more purposeful. So, once again, God is making it all okay.
Life ain't easy, but with God it ain't impossible neither.
I just don't think you can have everything at once. I think the cake was exactly what you needed. I think it's good for kids to not be exposed to a lot of issues r/t food; there's nothing wrong with cookies in the jar (unless I find myself eating them all, lol) and cake on the table .

A friend of me told me about the greatest site. It is called Spark People. It is completely free but you do have to register and they ask you if they can send all kinds of information to your email, so you have to be sure not to check any boxes if you don't want that. They don't ask you for your address or phone number, or even your real name. They do ask you if you've been recommended by a member. If you'd like to mention me, please send me a pm and I will let you know my username there. If you don't want to do that, though, you can just check off "from a friend" where it asks you how you found the site.
I encourage you to check this site out. It has all kinds of information and tools for people interested in living a healthier lifestyle.
www.sparkpeople.com
I'll have to check this out. Thanks for the info .

When you figure out the answer to that conundrum, let me know . I guess you gots to work, not much you can do about that. And church is a healthy choice .
I had a pretty good week this week. I went to the gym a couple of times. It's really hard to find the time; when I'm not at work, I want (need) to be with my little ones. With summer coming up, hopefully that should ease things up a bit. I've done better (not perfect ) with eating at work. I don't always make the best choices, but I make mindful ones and that's a big step.
Z, that video dredged up long-forgotten memories of having to do that "chicken fat" exercise in gym. Did you guys have to do that? It was on a record, something along the lines of "Go you chicken fat, go away, go you chicken fat go." Oh, it was terrible .

Hiker, sounds like you keep keeping on and that all we can do. When we surrender, it's when it's over.
I did go to the gym yesterday and am doing o.k. I'm taking a day off today.

I went to the gym today and just mowed my lawn. I have very little willpower regarding what I eat . . . .I hate the frumpy middle-aged look though. Hate it enough not to eat bad things?

Hi everyone,
Gotta get to the hubby so this will be a quick post.
Weight is stabilizing.
Sick of school. ready for all the homework and everything else for the kids to be over.
Kids and hubby are good; I haven't killed or injured anyone during my pms or perimenopausal or whatever the heck it is episodes. We all is okie dokie.
Work "is what it is" and that's okay too.

Spidey, deciding whether it's worth it is the big decision . Unfortunately, I usually weigh in on the wrong side . Good job on your workouts!
Gentle, I'm with you on the school thing. I love my quiet time when they're at school, but when you balance that with homework, activities, having to get them actually out the door...I'm looking forward to summer.
Went to the gym yesterday and ate pretty well. I had a party last night, but I ate lightly before so I could enjoy the treats there.
Tweety, glad you took the day off .

In my effort to exercise more on my days off, I just purchased a playstation 2 console and a game called Dance Dance revolution. I remember I played this at a friend's house a year ago and I burned so many calories and it was fun. So I bought one.

Lol. It is fun. I feel that same way. At least this way I look like a dancing fool in the privacy of my home without the added embarassment.
