Yeah, gotta agree with Zoe. I wonder if you over did it on the yoga thing and are just burned out. Maybe a short break or a different type of yoga workout would be better. Do they offer different levels, or forms of yoga? I'm sure you can tell that I don't know too much about yoga other than when I do it, my muscles relax and the stress is decreased a good bit.

Re: Healthier Living Thread Part V

Well, for the official update. The weight is going up. I weighed in after work tonight--without shoes.

now is that stinky or what????

Of course, it may have something to do with the fact that I've made a few decisions and am now comfortable with proceeding forward with life. And, of course I had to celebrate!!!

Did I mention that I made the "kids" chocolate cake and chocolate icing?

And who do you think has helped eat that cake and icing?

Needless to say, I am trying to be more careful about what I am eating and when.

On the other hand, my kids are feeling mommy love because I made a cake for them. They are having fun sharing part of the cake with friends who come to visit. Improvements are being seen in other areas of my life. I am much more clear and more purposeful. So, once again, God is making it all okay.

Life ain't easy, but with God it ain't impossible neither.

Hmm, bean burgers, what kind of beans? Love beans.

How ARE the dogs btw? Bein good?
Black bean burgers. They were just "awright". I think I made them too thick, I made 4 burgers when the recipe said it made six....greedy....and they were a bit chewy. This recipe called for wheat gluten which might have given them a chewy texture.

My babies are well. They still love to get up and down, up and down through the night, which throws me off. The older dog who used to be quiet through the night is a bit restless too. Thanks for asking.

Ugh, animals. I throw and yell things ... er, yell and throw things, when they wake me up. They learn early on how to be my best friend. 1. Don't wake Mommy up. lol

You're probably just NICER to them than I am to mine! LOL!

I don't beat them but they fear my wrath when I am sleeping...

The Wrath of Zoe is a fear inducing wrath for sure. LOL

I managed to go to the gym today, but it was free ice cream day in celebration of Hospital Week.

Re: Healthier Living Thread Part V

I hope it is okay to post this here. I was going to make it a separate thread, but it seems to fit well here.

A friend of me told me about the greatest site. It is called Spark People. It is completely free but you do have to register and they ask you if they can send all kinds of information to your email, so you have to be sure not to check any boxes if you don't want that. They don't ask you for your address or phone number, or even your real name. They do ask you if you've been recommended by a member. If you'd like to mention me, please send me a pm and I will let you know my username there. If you don't want to do that, though, you can just check off "from a friend" where it asks you how you found the site.

I encourage you to check this site out. It has all kinds of information and tools for people interested in living a healthier lifestyle.
