Re: Healthier Living Thread Part V

[quote=zoeboboey;2757184If I could just start getting this I would be happy. I am so weak and wussy and what I eat just doesn't help either. But I am amazed at how quickly I get worn out and out of breath.[/QUOTE]

Zoe, you can do this. It's just one step at a time. Each second, minute, and hour are new. You can start all over every single minute. Eventually the minutes will increase to an hour and so on. I adhere to this thought process because, I get off target so very often. I just keep on trying.

Please, feel free not to skulk. As mentioned before, the thread title is Healthier Living. I am betting that many of us are definitely living healthier in different areas of our lives:

spiritually -- more contact/time with God
emotionally -- more careful with ourselves and others around us
physically -- learning how to get more sleep
using boundaries to own our own problems and not everyone elses . . .

Surely, the list could go on . . . .

Sooooo, chin up, booty off the couch, remove skulking please. Journaling all of your past accomplishments toward healthier living will help also.

But it's such a nice big soft one. . .

Zoe, when I haven't been active for a while, the first month is pretty, um, unpleasant, but after that, I seem to turn a corner and it actually ends up being fun(ish ). You're doing great! And you can't be wussy if you're a nurse, right? We're tough! Hey, wanna do a virtual walk? We'll each do something and report back. I was going to stay in today, but for you, I'll make an effort .

Heya Gentle .

Blue, I can picture you on a bike with all that hair standing up in the wind . You'll have to find an avi to match .

Well, today you can do something fun and active on your day off, Tweety! No time like the present. I'm going on a walk this morning then I'll be doing yarkwork all day.

I weighed myself yesterday and I have lost 7 lbs since Feburary! I'm feeling leaner and fitter! My goal is to lose 10 more pounds in the next year.

Re: Healthier Living Thread Part V

Yes, it was a great weekend. I went out to eat at a nice restaurant with friends and ate some decadent food like steak, mac and cheese, and gelato (sp?) ice cream. All to die for (literally I could feel my arteries clog....LOL).

Back on track with healthy eating though. Self-indulgence with good friends is good for the soul. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
