Ha ha. The worst part of bending down is having to get back up, though

Yep, my littlest is two and the rest just go on up to grown and out of the house. They would definitely go with me; I just wouldn't get far very fast with all of them, LOL. But, we do go on good walks sometimes; I bribe them with Subway or a book--that way even the ones that don't want to go, still do.

We are renting a house for the time being - drama there, basement flooded twice in the last 10 days. Sewer line to street had tree roots. Got a new washer out of the deal though (thought it was the source of flooding - it wasn't, but it was pronounced DOA anyway). The move and drama have put me a bit behind in school (pharmacology this time), but I'm not working yet so I have a bit of time to catch up. I do need to find some local nurses to do presentations to for school. I'm thinking I might look into local nursing homes as a resource there.
Moving in combo with school is VERY influencial in expanding the ol' waistline! The good news is I can now get into a yoga class, not available before. Now that the move & flood are over, no more excuses to eat out every night! Got some fish in the freezer to grill - as soon as DH assembles the grill, lol! Went for a walk last night before dinner, a new 'plan A' we are starting for the daily routine. It wasn't long enough, but it was a start.
Good to see y'all again!!!
I'm glad your move went well. I was kind of hoping your water problems wouldn't follow you, though

I guess you could work up to walking TO the gym for your workout. It would be almost a marathon

Our elementary school separated lunch and afternoon recess. I think it's a great idea; that way the kids don't rush through their meals to get outside and if they're slower eaters, they don't have to miss their playtime.

Hey, if we're losing enough weight for a person, can I be that person???

I haven't been weighing myself at all. The batteries went out in my scale and I figured that was a sign . Actually, I find it only discouraging...BUT my belly rolls are diminishing a bit.

I'm so behind here, I just decided to jump in and not try to catch up! But, I am so proud of all of you and love seeing all the new faces--and some old friends. So nice to see you again, ER.

I'm having a light breakfast today in anticipation of a luncheon today. Hope I don't gorge too much.

Have a great day!

I'm *trying* to picture that one . I'm dressed as a nurse, myself. Easier for spending the day at work, LOL. Some of our babies dressed up and looked darn cute, I must say.

Well, I've been sick since last night. Had a bit of yogurt earlier.

Someone at the Halloween Party mentioned I look like I've lost weight. Especially in my face. Well, at 50 . . . that isn't exactly what you want.

I'll have to weigh in tomorrow. I'm not even tempted by all this Halloween candy . .. amazing.

Hope your luncheon was good Tweety.

Glad you had a blast at the party Sarah!

Steph, I know what you mean, as I loose weight in my face I tend to look a bit older because the fat fills out the wrinkles. Where's the justice in that! At least people are noticing. I've lost 7 pounds and no one has said a word. Whatever. LOL

Yep, that's why when I am down there (bending over) I look around to see if there is anything else I can do before I come back up, har har.

Cute to have little wee ones along ... well you could get a big backpack and put em all in - THAT would be a workout!

Ha ha about the face - you're right! I keep lifting up my eyebrows ... (dad had a facelift at 75 y.o. ... lol)

I'm doing ok w/ the candy too, haven't touched it, felt a BIT of a craving but I kept it in the freezer so I wouldn't keep looking at it. I don't trust my baser self - so I am taking it to work w/ me today...

TOTALLY unfair!

You are making me think of all those new products that "reduce the appearance of" wrinkles. Guess it's time to go shopping!!

When I was in college, one of my mother's good friends (who actually mothered me better than my mom but that is another story) lost a lot of weight. She had been overweight but active. She hated the way her face looked - wrinkled. She gained weight back to fill out the wrinkles again.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. (that is PG, right?)

Re: Healthier Living Thread Part V

Yes, Steph, it's PG, PG-13 for sure. LOL

A guy at work was shocked the other day when I told him I was 48...he said he tought I was in my 30's. Guess I don't act my age. LOL

I had a bad week. Very lazy and poor eating. The scale at the gym said I gained 4 lbs, which is tragic if true. My weight fluctuates dramatically from day to day, so I'm praying it's not the real story. I'm doing good now. I was watching Ophra at the gym and they were giving some hints on staying young, basically diet and exercise, stuff I already know, but I need inspiration constantly. LOL

Re: Healthier Living Thread Part V

Tweets - you do look young. People are surprised I'm 50 but I think it has to do with a cute little redheaded boy who follows me around.

He is in the process of taking our rotting pumpkins around to the burn pile . . . they are falling apart on him. It is a beautiful day - I've been raking leaves off of lush green grass. Love this Indian Summer weather.

I didn't weigh myself at the gym because I didn't go to the gym. Partly because I've been sick and partly because I've been lazy.

No appetite yet . . .
