Re: Getting in shape/Losing weight in pre-nursing/NS support thread

good luck on everyone's tests and i hope you all get acceptance letters!

my nursing orientation was yesterday and i have so much to get done this summer before nursing school in the fall, but i'm very excited!!!! i have to get a physical done in the next couple weeks, which is extra motivation for me to loose some extra poundage before they fill out my physical form, just because i know i feel better with the number being smaller!

they told us that we had to have proof for MMR vaccines, TB test, Hep. B shot series, physical, and some other vaccine. We also have to have a background check done and sent to the school.

As well as shopping for supplies, uniforms, stethoscopes, etc. Which is probably my favorite part of all of getting ready for school!

And we just talked about a bunch of other things to expect in the fall.

we got to try some stethoscopes out at the orientation. i liked the littmann cardiology III because it has a pediatric and adult side. but i'm not sure yet. i've heard that the master cardiology are amazing and you can hear the blood in the heart. but i'm still undecided!

Yes, I would like to join your on-line weight loss club too.
When I heard that I'll have to be bathed by another student, it kicked my dieting motivation into high gear.

Presently, I am walking in the morning and that gives me energy and I also find that when I eat my veges before I eat anything else that I tend to eat less of the other things. And, that has to be a good thing.

Re: Getting in shape/Losing weight in pre-nursing/NS support thread

Congrats on the 4 year wedding anniversary!!

I will be throwing all rules out the window this upcoming weekend... my husband and I actually have a whole weekend without any kids and that is a miracle. So we will probably be eating out and just having a good time.

Re: Getting in shape/Losing weight in pre-nursing/NS support thread

welcome me too and sdnewgirl!!!

I only have stats for me and nightbloom this week. I will post them tomorrow to give everyone a chance to get them pm'd to me. I hope everyone is doing good

It's been a slow week for me. It's my friday at work so I'm happy about that. I work 2-12hr and 1-8hr midnight shift each week. The good things about this week is we got our stimulus check and I lost the 2 lbs I gained last week.

The bad thing is I messed up a scholarship oppurtunity by not getting my transcript done in time.

Hopefully, I will be able to find other oppurtunities.

Keep up the good work ladies! and if you want to be added to my list tomorrow give me a pm
