Tullosrn,

Don't sweat that number. It's not good for you! All Bridesmaid and wedding dresses run small....I am not sure why but your difference in numbers sounds like how I remember it years ago.

You will get where you want to be in the next four months and then they will have to take that dress in

I hope everyone has a great week!!!

Re: Getting in shape/Losing weight in pre-nursing/NS support thread

You guys would not believe how sore I am!!!! I took a riding lesson with my daughter on Saturday morning. Hello.......it's been 20 years since I rode on a regular basis. Needless to say it's Monday morning and It hurts to sit. It hurts to walk up the steps. It hurts to roll over in bed. I believeable.

Her riding instructor said she had the same thing as she didn't ride for 20 years and then came back to it. It's English riding so I did a lot of posting to a trot (up down like a squat). It was like doing over a 100 squats.....again I say Hello........I haven't done squats in an eon!

There is some good news though...I lost 2 pounds last week in WW....Yeah!

I didn't lose anything past the 1 pound I lost by Thursday. I'm hoping to get into a bathing suit sometime this summer and wearing white on the bottom half is a goal as well. I haven't been able to wear white pants in years.

Nightbloom,

I agree on the white on the bottom half. I love...love white jeans but didn't wear them at all last summer. I am hoping to do the same.

Think of it this way...you lost a pound last week and this is a new week!

Re: Getting in shape/Losing weight in pre-nursing/NS support thread

Hi everyone!

I sympathize with you pear girls although, I have to tell you that being an apple is not much better. I have a horrible time finding pants that fit. They either are too small in the waist or too big in the hips. It makes me feel masculine. To top it off I've been asked when I'm due on more than one occasion

The good news..I am down 2 more pounds. for a total of 8 lost. just 22 more to go to goal.

I am under 200 lbs now! I'm happy to be in onederland again. I haven't been here for a couple of years now.

Piglet I am 5'7 and it said my happy weight was 148. My number was way under that. I chose 130 as my ultimate goal. I remember weighing that and thinking I felt good. Of course I was in my 20's so I'm rethinking that number. Maybe it's not realisitc.

I'm trying to get things finished up for the semester. I have 3 papers to write and 2 tests and I am done!!! yay!

I am taking the summer off. I'm hoping to start the nursing program in the fall. I won't find out until end of May-June.

I am just going to relax, get my house in order. and spend time with the 4 year old before she goes to K in the fall. Wow, it will be an adjustment just having the 2 year old at home.

What is everyone else planning on doing this summer?

Great job everyone. Especially the maintainers. I know it is hard when the scale doesn't move but, it is still a victory that shold be celebrated. Not having it move in the wrong direction is a feat!

Good luck this week everyone!!

Re: Getting in shape/Losing weight in pre-nursing/NS support thread

Good evening everyone and congrats too everyone. I hope you all had a good weekend. I lost and I didnt. What happened is I lost the weight I had gained but didn't lose anything past the original pound I lost the first week so I still have 24 lbs to go. I suppose I should just be thankful for small miracles.

I have 2 lab finals this week, on test then two class finals next week and I'm off for the summer, then NS starts August 25th. I met a lady in my A&P class who is starting the program with me in fall and at first I was excited because I was thinking 'potential study partner' but then she procedes to tell me that 1. She doesn't really want to be an RN, she's just doing it for the money, 2. if her patient ever has a BM in her presence she'll gag and run out the room and 3. she doesn't want to start IV's because she can't stand blood. I was ****** after that, why waste the valuable space in the program, give it up to someone who really wants to be there. Anyway, that's my rant for the night.
