Tullosrn, that is fantastic! It's nothing like hearing an unsolicited compliment!

The weekend has not been to good for me but I have time to turn it around.

Hopefully everyone else is doing well! Remember we still have a lot of weeks to go!

Re: Getting in shape/Losing weight in pre-nursing/NS support thread

Well my week has been going alright with excercise but I am having a hard time with the food. The worst was last night at work. I swear I eat more there than home sometimes, plus I make really bad choices there.
Woke up this morning and had a small bowl of grape nuts and strawberries. Let's see if I can keep it up at work.
Sounds like everyone is doing great......I am afraid to weigh in tomorrow.
Good luck everyone!

Re: Getting in shape/Losing weight in pre-nursing/NS support thread

I usually weigh in on Thursday. I take off 1 day from dieting on the weekend. Thursday is usually a good day for me to weigh in because its right before the weekend and then far enough away from the weekend that I usually lose a little before that 1 day off.

Today I have only 7 points left because I had to have a slice of pizza. Blah!

Re: Getting in shape/Losing weight in pre-nursing/NS support thread

Hi!

I hope everyone had a great weekend.

I got up this afternoon (work 3rds Sat-Mon)m and weighed myself. I lost 4 lbs More than I wanted (2lbs) so I am pretty happy.

I did not get very much exercixe in 60/90 minutes. It has been cold and rainy here. I should have gotten on the treadmill, but I didn't.

Nightbloom & Tracy Lynn, I used to weigh in on Thursdays the last time I did WW too. I agree it is in the middle and gives you some leeway for the weekend. You could always make it your official weigh day and then just report on Monday.

Piglet, it is good to see you are refreshed and ready for a brand new week! I think attitude is a big factor in weight loss success.

Bsj, don't be too hard on yourself.. You are doing great exericising. The diet will come eventually. The most important thing is you are doing something for your health,

Everyone else keep up the good work! we can do this!

Re: Getting in shape/Losing weight in pre-nursing/NS support thread

One week down and...how many more to go? Congrats to everyone who lost and keep up the good work.

I have something for you guys to ponder, I've heard that you need to reduce 'X' amount of calories a day to lose weight and I've heard that you can do it by the week too. Like if you had a 'naughty' day you could make up for it the next day? Anyway hear anything like this?

Anyway, today is another day, right? I hope everyone has a great week and keep up the good work and support. I'm loving it.

Re: Getting in shape/Losing weight in pre-nursing/NS support thread

yeah i believe that it is if you reduce your calorie intake by 3500 cals per week or 500 per day you will lose a lb so if you want to lose more just dbl it and the more exercise the more you can eat....

Re: Getting in shape/Losing weight in pre-nursing/NS support thread

I like Monday weigh-ins. It keeps me on the straight and narrow all weekend. If I thought I didn't have to pay for my sins until Wednesday or Thursday, who knows how much trouble I could get into?!?

I'll get the stats posted a little later tonight. I have got to spend at least a little time today cleaning this house! With the 3 tests last week and the head cold, I didn't do anything around the house and it shows! Yuck!!

Re: Getting in shape/Losing weight in pre-nursing/NS support thread

FABULOUS results WishN! That is just too awesome. Four pounds is a bunch.

I hope that the weather clears up for you so you can get out and about. I kind of like the treadmill though as I can watch TV and not think about how long I have been on it!

Fuuchan it is 3500 to lose a pound so if you were shooting for two pounds a week you would need to reduce the weekly calories by 7000 or basically cut 1000 out a day of which you already eat. Also, exercise counts cause the more you exercise the more you burn!

Good luck everyone!

Maine Good luck with your test I am glad you are feeling better!
