[font=Arial] I went to this holistic healer last week. I am having neck pain.
I went to his 2 hour healing/massage session. I guess I didn't read the pamplet very well. But some things he did made me feel kind of uneasy. Please advise me if this is normal.
The pamplet said he used reiki, guided imaginary,and some other things I didn't understand.
I'm wearing my underwear and a camisole. and a blanket provided.
Towards the end of the session-he is rubbing my belly, then sternum I think about 40 times in circle. I had taken my camisole off earlier for the baack rub.
there is no blanket covering me, I'm exposed.and then he is like caressing my breasts to my abdomin. does this sound normal?
He also tells me during the session that he is my friend. As the session is over I get up to dress and he is looking at my breasts-evaluating them. he tells me he know a way to make them um more elevated. This behavior doesn't seem quite right to me. As I am writing my check out. he tells me not to tell husband what he did-cause he wouldn't understand. No sh t, I don't hardly understand.He also tell me the prices will be cheaper than the pamplet states, I don't realy know what to make of all this. Does this sound normal?

Frann, Absolutely, positively, this is wrong! This guy not only needs reported to the massage board but you need to report him to the police. He molested you! Call today before this happens to other people. This kind of jerk gives professional massage therapists a bad name!

It doesn't say he is a massage therapist, says he is a certified reiki teacher and a holistic healing practitioner. he has a Ph.D(a.b.d.)for university of chicago.
It said in his release form that some things may make you feel uncomfortable.

Start by calling the police. They will take your statement and then do an investigation of this jerk. His degree may be from some bogus place that issues degrees for $15.00. Anyway, even if he does have a degree he can still be a pervert. Call the authorities today and inform them of what happened. Don't wait and DON'T BE A VICTIM of this person. He is not a healer, he is a cancer.

I was doing fine until I read about the breast part no it is not normal at all. That happened to me with a PT one time and grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, it gives us all a bad name and reputation........

Please understand that his behavior was totally inappropriate and should not be dismissed!!
Don't feel bad about what happened. You were taken advantage of and you trusted this practioner. You had no frame of reference as to what is acceptable.
You should take action, ie: police, or better business burea, board (if he is even with a board) perhaps licensing with the local muni. And if you feel brave enough, have your husband ( or yourself) call this person and let them know that you felt taken advantage of and call him on his inappropriate behavior.
The others are right. If he did it to you, he does it to others. Action on your part could save someone else from this problem.
Most states have laws about proper draping of the breasts on females and they should be adhered to. Practioners should not be present during dressing and undressing. Your privacy should be honored and he should knock before entering the room.
Also in the future, it is up to you, when you see a new person, to ask questions and make sure you are comfortable with the services being offered and that you feel safe. That should be your new responsibility.

I did call him up and request my money back. I had signed up for his exercize class-before I went to his session. I told him that I thought it what he did was inappropriate and I didn't feel comfortable there. He sent my money back promptly. I did talk to my husband about it. though not in detail. We have a lot going on with the house right now. He's finishing the basement, and we are getting the house ready to sell. I just told him that I went to this massage place and that the guy was inappropriate. He didnt ask more. He can be very protective. He doesn't even like for me to shop at night by myself.

Please report this guy. Maybe you are mature enough to overcome the molestation, but his next victim may suffer more.

I'll bet this guy has a rap sheet for molestation. Many women advertise for massage who are really prostitutes. This guy is the male version of the same thing. The cops typically will send an undercover cop and bust him. Massage as a ruse for sexual encounters is extremely common.

The legitimate ones will be licensed by the state or town/city that they are in. Usually certified by the NCBMT and a member of a professional organization.

Ask to see ther license and credentials next time. You will have better luck if you have someone refer you to a practitioner, instead of going to someone cold. If you don't know anyone, try a female therapist. By the way, reiki doesn't typically involve touch. It's energy work.
