Researching healing/wellness culture of the Dakota/Sioux tribe

Our nursing seminar group is studying the Dakota Indian culture with respect to medicine. Topics include: Health/Wellness concept, Illness concept, Treatment concept, Significant Health Problems, and Implications for Nursing Care. If there are any members with knowledge in any of these areas for the Dakota Tribes, we would like to hear from you. Also some members may know of specific information resources which may help us understand the topics mentioned above--we would much appreciate any help in that direction. I'm wondering if there are many common views across Indian Tribes?

Aye, there is a web site that you can try. It shows more than the Dakota Sioux, but it is someplace to start. It is www.indianz.com/MedicineWheel/ .
I wish you the best of luck.

Thanks for the tip. I may seek out your views and thoughts at some point in the near future, if you are willing.
