NCLEX & the Native American

Hello everyone,

I recently took the NCLEX and while I sat for my test on the same day as several of my Caucasian friends I have not received my results; however, all of them have. I called the BRN and they are still reviewing my results. I also must mention that I filled out that general information page at the end of the test (which ask for your ethnic group) and as I have my whole life, put American Indian. I have always wondered if people still tend to place stricter expectation for us?

I guess my general questions is how long did it take for you to get your results?

Thank you so much

Re: NCLEX & the Native American

I think I can answer your question an emphatic no.

I'm sure you will hear in due time. Your race/ethnicity has absolutely nothing to do when you hear if you pass/fail.

Good luck!!!!!

Nuh wah doe he yaw duh (Peace)

Hi Mescalero,
Waiting for those results can be some of the longest hours we ever spend. Every nurse here can sympathize with you on that score. I really do not think your ethnic background has anything to do with this situation though. I wish you luck and I am sure you will hear something soon. Let us know the results. Have a blessed day.
