For the first time in more than three decades, the tribal government of the Three Affiliated Tribes is in charges of police protection on the reservation.

The changeover from federal Bureau of Indian Affairs law enforcement to the tribal government happened with a ceremonial roll call of the new officers this morning.

This is something to celebrate for these people.
