First Nation helps break up meth operation

Taken from website: http://www.indianz.com/News/2007/003891.asp

The Sto:lo First Nation in British Columbia has been working with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police to keep drugs off the reserve.

The effort led to a bust of a major methamphetamine lab on Wednesday. Vice President Tyrone McNeil said the lab produced 18 kilograms of meth a day.

The RCMP evacuated the area due to the potential for an explosion from chemicals in the house that was being used to make the drug. It can cost thousands of dollars to clean up a meth lab.
