Just read this in the morning paper and thought I would share!

Choctaws might hold genetic key in blood research
OKLAHOMA CITY -- Researchers are trying to unravel a mystery that links three blood samples of Choctaw Indians with a rare marker that could help in blood transfusions.

The Choctaw Nation has just fewer than 200,000 registered citizens.

OBI spokeswoman Jennifer Billings said that by having more blood with the rare antibody, researchers would be able to ensure blood compatibility between donors and recipients...
