2. An intellectual ability to be a critical thinker and to apply that to care. The ability to assess a situation and pro-actively intervene instead of merely responding to an event after the fact.
why only 3?? there are plenty of it i suppossed.nursing is a very complex profession and we nurses have the most outstanding characters in dealing with sick people including patients's families as well.
1) common sense..Lord I have ran into some dumb nurses. Some can't walk and talk at the same time. But this is with anybody.
2) level head- you must be able to keep calm, prioritize/organize in your head and a lot of time very quickly ..
3) you must have some good book learnin...but I would take a c student with my number 1 and 2 ,before I would take a A student that didn't know whether to wind her butt or scratch her watch.
