Re: hours of Student Hosp duty in Philippines ?

well so far I think NOT all this money goes to the school she says she is over with a 2 year RN school an just has hospital duty THEN she needs 6500 p for the hospital a month 6500 for rent total 20,000 p a month food and stuff THEN the big money is always like her parents lose the house or rice farm or tricycle HER gf say she spends the money on her BF at the mall THEN now she ask me marry her since the nurse visa Sec A seem to be all gone until 2010
but even i buy her a computer for her room she has not email me or chat me one month I had 2 Cebu wives who SCAM me BIG time just for a VISA
and left me NOW $30,000 in debt at 30 % interest
I am still ***** at immigration and last wifes immigration lawyers
BUT this is all confusing for me I do not know why life cannot be simple?
I guess I can walk away lose $10,000
or at least make her a nurse THEN walk away as a gift to the poor
it sounds like I am being scammed
even if i call her on phone she does not like to talk now or give out
information of her locations to me

Are there 2 year RN programs in the PI? I thought they only offered the BSN (4 year program).
(Are the "second courser" programs only 2 years?)

There are still 2 year BSN programs in the country. And it is very expensive. It is like paying for the 4-year program. Some of these school are offering 2 years and 3 years the most. Although they might add another year in their program for the additional duty hours required by the BON this year.

Actually, I don't know why some schools are offering fast track nursing programs... But as far as I know, Its usually for doctors or dentists who wants to take up nursing. Though some people who are not even medical related can apply to this so called fast track program. Don't really know how that one works... or maybe their subjects from their previous course are credited or I don't know. Sorry. I'm not very familiar with that program.

To be considered for a 2 year BSN you must have completed a degree program already and are applying as a 2nd courser. Even then, the program will actually take 3 years or so to complete as you will do mandatory summer scheduling for NCM 100 on up. You can't avoid the hours and expect to finish a BSN in 2 years...plan on 3 years.
Current Freshmen are looking at a 5 year program (4 year BSN Plus 3 summers at least of additional study)

Nice guy, I am to sorry to hear that. I think it is better to tell her what you really feel. Being scammed for the third time is not good for a healthy love life. I hope your 2 ex wives have learned you a lesson. It seems that she will be likely your third scammer if you will allow it. Now that's strike three! Think about your happiness, your money, and your debt. Is it all worth it? I better think twice.

As what I had posted on my other thread with the same case, I was a product of sponsorship just for 1 semester. And considering I was in third year, the highest tuition fee for 4 years in nursing. He paid almost P48,000.
First, how did you met her and start sponsoring her? DO you know her personally or just recommended by someone else?
1st-2nd yr nursing is AHSE years. You'll know what school I came from from my other threads. I'm working in the hospital affiliated to only one college of nursing. Its in Makati.
1st yr. 1st sem: 38,000 no books included. Books worth I think max 4,000 plus uniform. 2nd sem: around 39,000. Books around 3,000. But I dont buy books. I go to the library to lessen my expenses. Then summer classes. We paid hmmmm..... P3,000 for CWTS. No books needed. Uniform, less than a thousand. No clinical exposure yet.
2nd yr. 1st sem: 41,000. Books? around max P5,000. No clinical exposure yet, only classroom return demo and stuff. 2nd sem: 42,000. Books: around max 8 thousand. 1st clinical exposure. Duties? 24 hours/week! Summer classes: around less than 10,000
3rd yr.: 1st sem: 43,000. Books: Around 8 thousand. But I dont buy them all. They're quite expensive! Clinical duties are done 24 hours/week. 2nd sem. 47,000. I almost stopped schooling because we have no more money. I was blessed with a sponsor recommended by our Dean. He paid for the 47,000 and the rest is our expenses. I dont want to burden him with my other expenses. Clinical duties still 24 hours/ week. Summer classes: less than P15,000. All clinical exposure. 24 hour duty/week for 3 months.
4th yr. 1st sem: 41,000. Needs for extra money for the thesis. Max of 10,000 (but that's already too much). Books: We have the same books from 3rd yr to 4th yr. MS, pedia, OB and PSych. Same reference. Duties, 24 hours/week. But on my groups case, we had to do double shift because of our thesis. We do 16 hours duty/day for 3 days. We sometimes sleep in class. hahaha.... 2nd sem: around 43,000. Less workload. LIfe is boring but needs to prepare for board exam. Less workload.....
If you also pay for her apartment, I have classmates who lives in a condo sharing with other students. They pay less. In Makati, apartment is around 10-15 thousand. Condos are like 20,000. If she shares room with other students, its cheaper.
Regarding the student your sponsoring, how come she's still working while you financing her? Take note, when nursing is your course here, its very hard to be a working student. ANd of course your already financing her! DOuble shifting? Never heard of school offering that before! If she was absent on her clinical duties, payment for it is. 1:1 for excused absences and 1:3 for unexcuse. Students should pay for it. I dont think the admin will approve double shifting. I wonder what school she's in?!
Now... These are just my experience studying 35 km away from my home. Back and forth everyday!
Now tell me, what is the status of her schooling? ANd how come she's not communicating with you? You finance her and she's not even telling you what's going on with her school? Oh my! DId you ask her about her school? You should really know about it. You have the right to ask and know about it! Ask all her expenses. If she dont do it, try threatening her that you'll stop sponsoring her. Then she'll be the one to start communicating. SOmetimes you really have to be firm!
Until now, I'm communicating with my sponsor. Although I haven't met him yet, it doesn't really matter. Because I know someday we'll meet.
Send me a PM if you want to talk. I'm ready to listen....

I dont believe in these fast track nursing career. Even if medicine or dentistry, law or engineering is your pre-nursing course, you still have to undergo the process in the 2nd yr of AHSE. Some of your subjects might be accredited but you still have to undergo room return demo for future clinical exposure. You can't just go straight in the field without skills lab! Then the process for 3rd-4th yr. So it always makes 3-4 years.
she ask me marry her since the nurse visa Sec A seem to be all gone until 2010
Straight from her own mouth! WAKE UP!!!! Its very obvious! Forget about being charitable to her! Its not worth it... Look.... There are other students who really want to finish studying and are not blessed with sponsor like you. They are the ones worth spending your money for....
Dearest, you've done your part, now its time to do hers....

Hi, It seems that nursing student is taking advantage of you, in reality hospital duty fees affiliation fees are included in tuition fees, Im a 2nd degree course, in a trimestral univ. It costs P45-50K, per semestral, but take note my budget in (books, Photocopy material, Duty uniforms, nursing equip.=P20k & monthly allawances=P5k
I advice you to call the university’s office, to know all miscellaneous fees….
